Finally a Sansa portrait that I was at least reasonably happy with, I still don’t think I quite got the likeness of Sophie Turner but it is close enough and the texture and the warm almost sepia tone gave an almost old master look.
Having another go as Sansa as Sophie Turners face is very difficult to get right. I still am not satisfied as I think I pushed the red tones too much and should have applied a little more complimentary colour.
There should have been a video here but your browser does not seem to support it. Started with a pencil drawing and then tried and old style but filling in some flat colour with a dry oil brush and then blending later. I discovered with this painting that Sophie Turner has a very difficult face to get absolutely right and in the end I’m not sure I really achieved that.
